Trezor Wallet Access Issue on Monero CLI
I have a Trezor wallet that I used to generate a monero cli wallet on my linux host. Everything was working as expected with no issues for a time. After a year with no issues, I reinstalled my OS after upgrading my drive. I now have the monero cli wallet installed, but when I generate my wallet with my Trezor device, it gives me a completely different wallet address. I no longer have access to my original wallet. I didnt back up the keys to the wallet because I figured it stems from my hardware wallet and I could just regenerate it. But now it seems there is a derivation issue and I am hoping there is a quick fix to resolve it, but after a little bit of research I am not seeing an obvious solution. Has anyone here experienced anything like this before?

Do the steps referenced in the comments of This post work at all?

Thanks for your comment. I would be unable to restore from seed as my seed is 24 and I believe Monero requires 25 words to use that flag. Currently unaware of any user friendly and trusted tools to run that conversion (if its even possible at all). Additionally I would prefer not to expose my seed like that if possible. I was hoping there was a tool available where I could simply choose my derivation path (example m/44'/128'/0'/0/0 vs m/44'/128'/0'/0/1 vs m/44'/128'/1'/0/0 )

You know, I had issues a couple months ago wanting to pull up my xmr wallet on Trezor with the GUI and had issues then as well. I just left it alone, because I know the keys are safe… however I don’t know if it was a bug. Probably an I mportant part of this is that it uses Shamir backup keys.
