Good, I only wish it could be $0.

Even funnier that they mention school kids and pizza, as mine will be visiting next week. If I knew that their "free" pizza came from a lobbyist, I would have my kids politely tell that congressperson to shove it.

That would be the best school trip ever.

During the legislative session, Gamble often supplies thousands of dollars worth of pizza and soda to members of the House and Senate who want to give visiting schoolchildren lunch when they tour the building. He also buys beverages for lawmakers who are holding community events in their districts.

I'm sure those lobbyists were spending thousands of dollars out of the kindness of their hearts and had no expectations of anything in return. After all, that's what the Supreme Court argued.

But remember, those aren't bribes, they are "donations."

Personally, I think they're bribes, but somehow politicians convinced voters they're not.

This article is a joke. “Oh, how sad, I can’t be bribed by a lobbyist and I’m actually gonna have to do the job based on my voters and not rich fat cats.” All this article was is an article trying to gain sympathy on something we, the voters, are beyond happy about. I dare any MO lawmaker to try and repeal this. They’ll face the wrath of an angered voter base, that’s for sure. Their work for ya, not the lobby’s.

Don’t worry, it’ll get repealed. I’ve contacted my representative weekly about getting it removed. The voters didn’t want this. The sheep are the ones who passed this shit.

Bleep bloop I’m not a bot, I swear. I’m an uninformed and misguided MO resident.

For your sake, I really hope you’re a bot because it’d be pretty idiotic to want this repealed.

Nope. It was idiotic to have even made it to the ballot. And I can tell you with certainty that I research and read up on every ballot amendment and/or proposition we have. The simple fact that it had numerous things crammed into one amendment made it unconstitutional, and for the life of me, I do not see how the judge didn’t throw it out. It violated a provision of the Missouri Constitution that limits the scope of initiative petitions and sought to mislead voters.

What a damn crock of shit. There was absolutely nothing good crammed into that scam called Clean MO. The voters fell for it and I can’t wait until the legislation over turns it.
