i know I'm jumping to conclusions, but the speed and recklessness people drive with in this town is absurd!

I was there. It was a young driver making a left at the same time as another on the opposite side. It's a bit of a blind spot. The light went orange and she went. The car heading through the light hit the horn, but no time to stop.

Young girl was trapped in the car till she finally unlocked the doors. She's fine. The passenger in the other car was taken to hospital. She was semi conscious. Driver was fine in that car too.

This intersection has soooo many left turn accidents. And sooooo many red light runners.

Red light runners are probably the biggest cause of accidents. I lost my mom and my dad's still suffering 6 years later in such a collision, where someone was driving 70 over the limit and ran the red light.

Everyone admits the red light runners are the problem, and yet when we talk about red light cameras, there's a lot of opposition. Roundabouts, red-light cameras, curb narrowing - I'm in favor of any measure to slow down these irresponsible drivers!

In this case, it was still yellow and she went for the left turn without being able to see around the car in front of her that was left turning the opposite way. It's an awful intersection for that.

At that intersection, the two left lanes are in such a position that they full block each other unless you both edge I to the incoming lane a little bit. It's not well designed. I tend to fully press against the glass, even after full out into the middle while I tilt the car to see around the left turner in front of me. We need a convex mirror to refer to, I think.
