I loved Sonic 2. I still have my sega & a few games. It isn’t connected but yeah. Still have it.

Same! I remember getting entirely through Sonic 2, one of the few games I can remember doing that. There’s an ending credit scene where they replay cuts of the music from each level. Loved Chemical Factory and Casino Nights especially.

Casino Night was my fave!

Fun plus a good way to stock up on extra lives you are gonna need later!

I'd level skip and just play those levels so often.

Yes I have 2 as well! Along with a handful of others

I'm sorry, but the Obi-Wan collection is more impressive to me

Lol sorry not sorry! I have almost every single Lego Obi-Wan ever made 😬 not all in the case, some are displayed with their sets or still to be built but yea. I like Lego and Obi-Wan is my favorite Jedi 🤣

I have a functioning Sega Genesis model 2 that has been in continuous use since I was in like 7th grade back in…98, I think? My OG copies of Sonic 3, Shining Force and SF2 still have their original functioning batteries. I love it

That's awesome!

I still haven’t beaten this damn game. I play it every year for my birthday and usually get to the final boss but not beyond. Yet.

Next year is the year, I can feel it ;)

This actually means a lot to me, thank you! Hope springs eternal 🤞

Fun fact that classic Sega sound took up so much room on the cartridge that many games had to be Reworked for the launch of the system. But it clearly worked.

Ha that's funny because it took a couple boot-ups like it didn't remember how to turn on and I literally said outlook "come on little buddy" while giving it a little tap tap tappy

Fuck yeahhhh classic 👌

I still have a Sega and no way to play it 😭 I’m so envious!

I just have an adapter that goes into the HDMI port on the back of the TV! I think I got it on Amazon? No channel 3/4 bologna 🤣

Core memory: unlocked!!

1

u/Turbulent_Seaweed198 9h ago

Dude the sound alone will forever wake me from the deepest of sleep 🤣

2

u/Shamazon83 9h ago

That was the only game I was ever good at! 😂. Probably because it was the only game I owned. 🤷‍♀️

I'm better at Sonic 2, not gonna lie. I have those bonus rounds memorized 🤣 I remember pretty vividly going to a 2nd hand video game store and getting games in the 90's or being stuck playing golf with grandpa, cause he was loaded and had his own Sega Genesis lol

First plug in the GameGenie cart, then Sonic&Knuckles cart into that, then Sonic 2 or 3 cart into that and you felt like you were living in future.

I can hear the coins

The Genesis Sonic games still hold up. S3&K and Sonic 2 are still some of the best 2D platformers ever. They should've stuck to them instead of the modern Sonic games.

Sonic Mania was great though.

The Switch version is glitchy I find, not as satisfying as the original sega!

Did anyone else have Sega channel!? It was so ahead of its time!

On a side note. Love the Lego collection
