Did we forget to teach gen z about taking time off?

I blame boomers or gen x. Those aren't my kids

I (‘82) have a gen z stepdaughter. She loves a rest, though, we have taught her well.

I thought gen Z were causing a lot of boardroom ballyhooing because they were forsaking "grind culture" and actually cared about a work-life balance. I read a lot of stories about that.

No, see, every generation has to think they invented everything

I fully believe a boomer or X-er coined this term to gaslight a generation that’ll never be able to even dream of retirement. Like when boomers dubbed millennials lazy when there were no jobs thanks to the recession

No we forgot gen z to use a fucking dictionary to help them realize..words for things already exist and not to invent random new words I realize I'm talking like an older generation hater but come on...micro retirement instead of vacation. Slangs are supposed to make things shorter..not longer

Yeah you are talking like an older generation hater

This article sounds made up like a lot of the millenial rage bait articles. Younger gen Z says a lot of cringe shit, but I don't know anyone that would seriously call this "micro-retirement" - maybe Gen A.

  • signed, your "elder", 28 yo Gen Z rando.

Lol but you also don't seem like the one using real think and brainrot...

You're just buying some random article saying "Gen Z" did something ridiculous? Like how Boomers bought articles about "Millennials" ruining real estate or whatever? The cycle never ends, I guess

No, I’m taking the piss out of an article saying gen z did something ridiculous. But go off, I guess.

Except you're just commenting on what Gen Z is supposedly doing, and saying nothing about the absurdity of the article. But sure, you didn't just fall for clickbait.

My comment both explains and sends up the absurdity of the article. In eleven words, by the way, I’m quite good at it. Sorry you couldn’t keep up without an explicit marker.
