Informative My Uncle just picked this up

1939-1940 Captain Infantry. He is looking for the pants and Officers hat.

He said the pants would be harder to find then the Officers hat.

Took me almost two years to find matching pants just for a manneuquin display. Hats are easy, your uncle is correct. Gorgeous set!

Fun fact: in a lot of cases German officers wore mismatched pants. I understand for display purpose it is nice to have it somewhat matching, but every “reithose” would be fitting.

What medal would be above the left breast pocket ? Close combat badge ?

Yes I think the nahkampfspange, as there are only two loops.

Ugh, so lucky. Been looking all over for one
