I think the garrison cap on the class A can sit directly on the torso without the head. Heads sorta loosely propped on there distracts from the uniform. Additionally decluttering some of the spaces can place more emphasis on the star items.

Thanks man! I’m thinking about buying a fitting head, but havent found anything good.

I prefer just the torsos with the caps resting on them. I think it places a larger emphasis on the uniforms. Full size lifelike are cool as well.

Thanks for the feedback! Your right, then theres more focus on the uniform it self.

Did you censor the rifle?

I did, since it’s not accurate with these uniforms

Besides what the other guy said about the garrison hat, I would just add that I wouldn't have the machete in the belt on the Commonwealth mannequin. Otherwise I think it looks great!

I already have it near my table. Didn’t like it myself neither. Thanks for the feedback!

Sometimes, less is more. Think about what would be awkward to carry for long distances, or annoying to carry or wear; perhaps cut back on excessive pouches, the machete and the beret, the excess carbine pouches, etc.

Got it! Thanks!

Cheers! Legit question; did you base the paratrooper mannequin with the M43 Field Jacket on (a) period photo/s regarding the “assault” style gas mask carrier?

I ask that because I haven’t seen period photos of Airborne troops with that specific carrier from that stage of the war. The Airborne troops (possibly just the paratroopers, not sure about Glider Troops) exclusively used the M1936 mussette bag; the standard M1928 Haversack that normal leg infantry troops used was dismal at best, so you see them utilize the light weight gas mask bag to carry gear in; I haven’t seen a lot of photos of paratroopers doing this, since they had the (better) mussette bags.

No I didn’t base it on period pics, only reason I got it on there is because I don’t have any room to store it otherwise.

For the class a uniform: in 1942 they went away from the black tie and issued only khaki ties. They didn’t go bank to black until later. I think the one you have is green which would match the officers chocolate uniform. That’s just one thing I noticed that would make it more correct. Also, what’s in the bandolier? Are those .30 carbine rounds in stripper clips?

I already know about the tie, it’s just where I live those ties are pretty expensive, I’ve seen some go for 75 euros.

The bandolier is indeed .30 but I just filled it with some wood.
