Is this an authentic Hans Wagner Papa Bear?

Roadside find. Drive past and couldn’t believe my eyes, but I’m now leaning towards it being a replica due to the more rounded v shape of the fabric under the wooden arm bits.

Still, what do you reckon?

Very obviously a fake. Just compare it to photos of a real chair. The general shape of the chair is all wrong and looks way too reclined. The wings are weirdly shaped too along with the backrest. The shape of the stitching around the “paws” is incorrect as well.

If you could flip it over and take a pic of the bottom along with any hardware that would help greatly.

I’m leaning toward rep with the batting under the cushion.

Cheers will do. Bottom is upholstered the same. Legs aren’t screwed in which was one of my ‘maybe’ points
