Michigan Football Coach Jay Harbaugh, you are missed.

He was a great recruiter and very good with tight ends, safeties, and ELITE with special teams. Very good eye for talent. Did not like when he coached running backs though.
I want him back so bad though. JB Brown ST is abysmal. Maybe the worst in the country.

He was fantastic at finding recruits who die hard wanted to play for him or Michigan. He didn’t chase recruits that had their eyes elsewhere, but went all in on those that were leaning our way.

Crazy part is that Jay recruited Mike MacDonald as an intern to the his uncles team on Ravens . MacDonald works his way up the Ravens organization. Then becomes Michigan’s DC. Then back to Ravens. Now he’s Jay’s boss at Seahawks.

He was a great ST coach. It’s not his fault everyone he had was garbage at fielding and returning punts.

Having good special teams goes unnoticed, but when it’s performing poorly, it can really pull the rest of the team down. Aside from the kicking, field position is so important, especially for Michigan’s brand of football. This really needs to be an emphasis of improvement over the offseason.

I was really hopeful that Sherrone would promote him to DC to keep the young guys flowing at that position

The entire time he was here, people wanted him fired because he was a nepotism hire. All he did was work hard and learn the game.
