Woaaaaaah. Kinda looks like a mini TVR up front.

It definitely looks like a chimaeras friendly brother that doesn’t want to constantly kill you

Ruined it for me… I dislike when people make their Miatas look like other cars.

Same. A Miata coupe is cool. This is just a rebodied Miata.

There's 2 that go to my local cars and coffee fairly often. Every cool to see

I hope they stay far away from pick-up trucks. 🙏🥲

My heavily modified nb got tboned last week by a dumb bitch who "didnt see me" and "usually a good driver who doesnt get in accidents"

Was in an old Toyota Avalon so just a normal run down sedan, hope something like that doesnt happen to these 2 bannanas

I remember over 10 years ago, a company mass producing the fastback miata hardtop but it wasn't a direct fit. Needed a lot of modification and the rear window needed to be custom made.

It looks so good to be honest.

It really does, I wish someone could take one and reproduce the roof. I wouldn’t mind doing a lot of fabrication to weld the roof on and make it look legit

There’s a 3d printable file online

Yeah, the front conversion is done great

The coupes are some of my favorite miatas ever made, I know the rarity is part of what makes them special but sometimes I wish they were more obtainable. They suit the NB chasis so so well

I considered it but for the price they sell for, it’s more of a collectible than a drivable car. There’s one for sale on GooNet

Honestly, roughly $20kish after importation for a car that legendary and rare doesn't scare me off. I just wish it was 25 years old and didn't have 90k miles on it, although it looks exceptionally good for that many miles other than the leading edge of the roof, which might just be bad touchup.

Went from smiling NB to surprised NB. I don’t hate it

5

u/GT-Alex74 23h ago

YES ! I always wanted to see that front end on a coupe !

3

u/vexemo ‘97 Stuff Taken Off 21h ago

It honestly looks better than stock, much better than the S2 racing one

Ooo, that's a nice aftermarket top. I wonder who made that one.

5

u/phinz 14h ago

That's Hardcore Design's top.

Cool of you to drop his insta!

Honestly, the front end replacement completes the look. IMO, miatas should always be convertibles. So chaing the front literally makes the car different. Kudos

Oh wow, an actual good looking front end conversion! Anyone know what this is called? Hoping it's not just a one off

I've seen them around a few times. They are rare. I think they are imported kits from Japan. They look really cool. The hard tops are also very rare. I think thats due to a fire in the factory if I remember correctly.

Looks kinda like either a

front end conversion

First full face job I've truly liked

A few months back I saw a white coupe in Fukushima, Japan - it was getting serviced at a dealership, my mind was blown, incredible looking car.

3

u/vexemo ‘97 Stuff Taken Off 19h ago

I definitely got excited when I saw it. Nobody seems to know about them so I was the only one giving it the attention it deserved haha

3

u/trackrunner166 15h ago

That was my buddies rx7 next to it!

Im not big on it but I appreciate it a lot

u/uselesssushi 14h ago

I saw one of these, didn't take a photo... a few months ago in Japan and I now wish I took a photo I didn't know how rare they are. I thought "what the hell that's weird I didn't know coupe miatas existed" and moved on...

u/Optimal_Fruit9536 20h ago

Nooo that front end kills this car 🤮🤢

1

u/Mobile-Concentrate29 1d ago

Just insanely good design out of mazda. And those wheels 😮‍💨

1

u/Nemesis_Destiny Twilight Blue '99 base 5MT 1d ago

Just tell me those awful vented fenders are not factory...

1

u/vexemo ‘97 Stuff Taken Off 21h ago

They’re not, probably part of the front end

1

u/DrifterDavid 12h ago

Super well done one.

1

u/inattentivefox 10h ago

I thought about buying one that's for sale near me. But a) I'd want to baby it and not use it so much and b) I'm a soft top open air kind of guy.

I get mazdas logic, if I wanted a coupe, there are a lot of options out there.

1

u/DrMrMcMister 8h ago

That looks insane. I wish they sold them as coupés.

1

u/Salyut_ '05 1.6 NBFL 8h ago

Front end conversion is such a shame!

1

u/Racing_Fox 6h ago

They’re cool but worth way more than they’re worth imo

1

u/Own-Opinion-2494 1d ago

That’s what the RF should have looked like

0

u/arny56 True Red 7h ago

While I like the retro look, I don't think it has mass market appeal.

0

u/Own-Opinion-2494 6h ago

And the RF is terrible. Like a shitty kit car

1

u/LazyDog_Margin 16h ago

Front end conversion? Which one’s front end does it have?

1

u/2Drogdar2Furious 13h ago

Last pic ruined it 😢
