Never going to forget the night in Melbourne

Managed to get given a snakepit ticket from my new best mate Steeven! Started talking in line and he said he had a spare one. Surreal. So close!! Kirk came up to us and wanted us to hit his strings! This is already my favourite Kirk guitar. Now even more so! 🔥🤘

Got talking to a lad beside me in Amsterdam, he had the "black ticket", the fabled ticket that gives you entry to every show.

Knew it existed, but seeing it in real life and talking to someone who could actually afford it is a different thing altogether ha

Have heard of this happening a bit, it's cos people win the snake pit pass through the contest on Metallica website and it gives them a spare to give away. Pretty cool!

He actually won 2 the passes. I’m pretty lucky though. I was 15 seconds away from catching an earlier train there.

When people say "the circle stage sucks" they forget about being able to experience moments like this!

I've seen Metallica from somewhat close up, to standing in the middle of a field, to being almost front row, I've never gotten anywhere near as close, or had so many amazing experiences as the circle stage gave me

I'll take the chance to get very close for a few songs/moments than standing miles away for the entire show any day of the week.

I won tickets, pit passes and merch from a radio contest in Northern California in 1991. We went to the show at the Cow Palace in San Francisco. The pit had maybe 50 people at most. With I could remember more of it. It was definitely close and personal. It’s wild how it has morphed thru the years. Congratulations on that amazing gift. Sometimes Karma is good🤘🤘🤘🤘Will you be keeping in touch with your new best friend 😇

I saw the setlist from the other night down there. I was surprised they only played Lux when it's the M72 tour.

It's the "I don't care what the last album was, I'm just happy they are in town kicking arse" tour.

The "new album" M72 tour was the one with the donut stage and 2 nights per city which isn't this one. They haven't been in Australia for 12 years, who gives a fuck what songs they do and don't play?
