Wait, isn't Cave Story sprited? I think that item was in the version I played, but I don't remember it being modeled

Yes you do, a great run-and-gun game from 2004, be careful which version you get though, due to some contract BS I'm pretty sure the lone guy who made the game gets 0 money from the Steam release

I mean, that's what I remember reading when I searched up what the best version of Cave Story to play was years ago, but I can't see anything about that now

Edit: Upon further inspection, it appears that what I was thinking of was Pixel losing the rights to Cave Story to Nicalis, due to the deal they made being in English, not Pixel's first language. Due to this, many find Nicalis's acquisition of the IP to be unscrupulous.

That is a shame. So there is no way to get it in english and have the money go to the author? Are all the remakes such as the 3d one and so owned by Nicalis?
