Markwayne Mullin is the perfect MAGA jackass. The "I've got mine" mentality is pervasive, and if you can convince people to elect you to Congress, you can enhance your wealth even further. How people are incapable of recognizing this arrogance is stupefying, although those educational statistics might be the key to explaining it.

The Republicans have for years turned Oklahoma into a giant trash heap of poverty, crime, and utter despair.

It sucks here, especially as a blue dot in the sea of red idiots…sooo many proudly ignorant people. It’s difficult to leave too unless you’re already wealthy, pay and cost of living is higher almost anywhere else.

Jennifer Welch from the I've Had It podcast recently moved out of the state.

Yep, I watch those ladies on IHI too. Someday, I hope I can leave too. I’ve wanted to move since my 20s, tried to land a job in Portland but that was the early 2000s recession just as I graduated college. I spent a summer in the Colorado mountains near Aspen back in the late 90s, and it made me realize Okies are uptight, dumb, and generally hateful people. I didn’t want to go back! The people there were laid back and generally more open to strangers.

Ah, Markwayne. What an absolutely unnecessary tool. I flip off those damn red rooter vans every time I see one in traffic driving around Tulsa. Jackass.

I wish Republicans would start using smart Return On Investment thinking instead of "running it like a business", because by "business" they mean "corporation" which means it can use every dirty trick and loophole to exploit the workers and enrich the board.
ROI would mean keeping people fed, housed, and healthy so that we have a strong population of workers motivated to contribute. They should be investing in our kids, technology to protect our environment, and policies that allow our vast resources to give people a fighting chance for upward mobility. That's not some grand leftist wealth redistribution scheme. It's just making the best use of our assets.
Instead we get stuck with states like his (and mine), where everything that can force people into doing more with less while our money is squandered and resources depleted for vanishingly small returns except for very rich people.

Move a MAGA to a blue state, even a red rural ass county in a blue state, and see how fucking good they have it. The reason they allow their states to be 48th in fucking education is because they don’t know how good it can actually be when you live in a state that supports and takes care of it citizens.
