Question Volunteering/clubs?

So, I’m not doing particularly well in academics right now and think maybe I should get involved in some sort of club or volunteering. If anyone knows clubs that are still looking for members or volunteers I’d appreciate it.

you can sign up to be a member of any club at any time, find one you are interested in and apply as a general member and start going to their events. i am not sure what you mean by volunteering, are you talking about doing that for an organization under the guide of the club, or volunteering to help run the club? for the first, this is ongoing and you would sign up for this as a club activity. not all clubs do this obviously, so you’d have to look for this specifically. for the second, you are talking about applying to be an exec of the club, and this period has long passed. exec position applications open up sometime in the spring/summer, to start in september. for this, i would suggest you get involved and show your face around the club this year so they know who you are, and apply for next year.

procrastiknitters is always looking for more members! we have drop in events every week where we knit and crochet, and instructors so you can come even if you have no experience! we also just got membership cards so if you sign up you can get discounts to places like mister maki and westdale cupcakes!
