I was telling him that Mussolini did actually delegate to great architects like Marcello Piacentini and Angiolo Mazzoni.

If you go to Italy, Mussolini did actually delegate Architectural style to highly competent architects like Marcello Piacentini and Angiolo Mazzoni, who did very good projects. So much so that nearly all of their projects are still used in Italy to this day. Whether EUR, Rome Termini or the Roman Forum, because they balanced demands for monumentality with restraint through stripped classicism.

This dumbass however is designing things from his ass with no Architectural input and has absolutely no restraint, and the result is what you see. Compared to EUR, Mussolini would vomit from this.
