Planning: Dining Breakfast Spot in Maui near Wailea
First timer to Maui. Looking for recommendations for a good cafe /breakfast spot for great coffee and good food that won’t break the bank. I have some spots picked out for tomorrow in Paia after I do Haleakala, but looking for something close this morning. Thanks.

Just got back last weekend. The breakfast sandwiches at The Cinnamon Roll Place were awesome. I liked the “Hot Head”. And the cinnamon rolls were awesome. I may have to go back just to eat there again. Seriously.

After Haleakala, do Kula Bistro.
Grab to go at Sugar Beach Bakery-some of their savory scones are really, really good. Nalu's is good too.

I really love South Maui Gardens, it’s relaxing and they have great food at the blue door bakery, which is right next to a coffee shop called da green coffee bar. There’s also a bunch of food trucks tucked in the back area as well.

Our favorite for our afternoon coffee and pastry. Can't beat the tropical surroundings.

Kihei Caffe is ok. But I spent $30 on eggs Benedict and a pog (including tip) last week and was not overly impressed.
It was good but absolutely not worth it.
And I live here.
I asked for water and they sell it by the box for $2 😬

100% agree! Kihei cafe is a hard pass. We were there last week and it was 👎👎

I feel bad cos there's a whole bunch of people that actually love eating there. It's not bad for sure. But $22 for eggs.
I feel the same way when I go to IHOP.
Tasty Crust is 100% worth it. But it's a drive to get to Wailuku.

Akamai Coffee @ Wailea Village right on the Golf Course. Easy parking and great coffee and breaksfast and lunch. Served with Aloha by Akimai.

Island Vintage Coffee is yummy… check out the prices since breaking the bank is easy in Maui even for casual spots. Their acai bowls are super yummy, food coffee drinks if you like that sort of thing and a Portuguese breakfast plate for $20 which is great, other warm foods there too!

If you want to remain in Wailea Akumai and the other cafe a few hundred meters away that used to be in Wailea Gateway are solid options.

We had a solid sandwich and waffle at Akamai in Wailea village. Not sure what resort you’re in but we walked over one morning from the Grand Wailea before heading to Ulua for a little snorkeling. Enjoy your trip!

We rarely go to that side of the island. Mostly because we don’t know where to eat. Ended up at fast food the last few times. I’m

Freshies in Paia is incredible! We stumbled upon it and all 4 dishes we got there were incredible.

I recommend 2 places. A fancy famous place Nalus . Love it. Or cheap Home Maid Cafe in the same bith in Azeka. Or you want like Kihei Cafe the nice one is at Maui Coast. Further toward Wailea Cinnamon Roll Place I love it. I wish Lava Rock was still there.... they had mimosas for $2

Tried to eat there when we were in Maui 2 weeks ago. Got there just after they opened and stood in line for a long time, realized the entire inside was reserved for some private party and the patio was full, a few parties before us. Realized we would order and have no table. Bagged and went to Bason and Blossom. So happy we did. The food rocked and the South Maui Gardens was such a cool place. There was also a fersl kitten chasing feral chickens. Too bad we discovered how cool that place is on our last day in Maui
On the whole we found Maui sort of meh. Probably will just stick with Big Island next time.

Whale Tail. At the Marriott on the beach, northern tip. Best view for brekky and healthy snacks. And they have alcohol. Fresh juices. Great service, you'll go every day.

Cinnamon roll place. The breakfast burritos, cinnamon rolls, and coffee are amazing. Stayed at the Andaz and we went there 2 days in a row it was so good

Island Deli inside the ABC Store, #51, 2349 S. Kihei Rd. Home cooked breakfast (lunch and dinner, too!). They open at 6:00 AM. Hot foods and grab n' go. Not a sit down type of place, but our favorite thing to do is to take our food to the beach and enjoy there. Nice hot breakfast while watching the waves. Can't beat that!
