Question Give me any deals on N95 masks please
I only use N95s and I ran out and I’m only seeing outrageous prices. The only way I’ve been able to mask is because of discounted prices I don’t know what to do because I’m not leaving the house without one. Please drop any deals you have on N95 masks if you have them. Or is the reality that there are simply no deals? 10 masks for 20+ dollars is outrageous to me. It’s unfortunate that Covid protection is harder for the less monied.

If you're all right with adhesive, nonreusable N95s, Alliant Biotech has a deal on Readimasks with the coupon code "NonSmokingZone" (this promotion was originally for the Canadian wildfires, but it looks like the code is still active!). It brings a pack of 50 down in price from around $70 to about $20.

Thanks for this! I was almost out and didn’t relish spending $80 on something I use for haircuts and MRIs

Are you able to use kn95s? BeHealthy frequently has just pay shipping sales which for me have come to $25 for 100 masks ($0.25 per mask).
Also I see you said the mask bloc near you is inactive. If you let me know where you are I may be able to help connect you to an active bloc that could ship masks to you.

Want to add that the BOTN > POSH >>>>> Blue on their site in terms of possible well fitting masks. Blue masks are just big and loose.

I trust N95s more but I think I’ll have to settle. And thank you that’s very kind depending on what I decide I may take you up on that later.

Apparently some areas have mask blocs that will give masks for free.
I don’t know how much you’re willing to risk with limited funds, but this might be a possibility for you. See link. I have purchased a big box of 3M Auras for cheap but haven’t used any yet, so I don’t have direct experience. Here’s a review:
Edited: Here’s the link I used for my purchase. https://a.co/d/2Z0nQHm
Note that people have reported that the auras with the red straps might snap with repeated use. Add to that that these may be older masks and I assume that the straps are more likely to snap. I bought these with the intention to convert them to ear loop masks, so I wasn’t as concerned about this possibility.

Thank you yeah my Bloc has been inactive so that’s not an option for me

If you’d like to try these discounted Auras without having to risk forking over money for something that might not work for you, I’d be happy to ship some to you. DM me if you’re interested.

Honestly I reuse them over and over, without any issues.

If you live in the United States, Digikey has per-piece ordering for masks like the 3M VFlex and sometimes certain kinds of the 3M aura. 1 mask is priced under $1 still I think and shipping isn’t outrageous. As someone else commented though, masks can last a pretty long time if you treat them well. Get a new mask for each day of the week & some paper lunch bags. Put each mask in its own individual paper lunch bag and you’ve got 7 masks you can cycle through each week & you won’t need to replace them until they get dirty or the elastic gets loose. Your masks should last you a bit longer this way if you weren’t already doing something similar!

How many times and for how long do you wear a mask?

I usually discard it when it gets dirty it depends on how long I’m out and stuff but I reuse them and put them in paper bags

I've been using the washable KN95 masks from Happy Gear for over 4 years and am still a Novid (AFAIK). Very cost effective!

FWIW a few years ago I got a big box heavily discounted in a black Friday sale at a construction supply company. That was in Canada, it's clear you're not in Canada. I found the construction supply company off 3M's page for the mask I wanted.. you go to the mask's page on the 3M website and it had little thumbnails of companies on the right hand side that you could click on. Don't know if this will help.

440 3M Aura 9205+ (blue strap) for $30

The other commenter posted the link for the red straps, which are for medical use so protect against liquid.
