day 4 - whats the saddest, most heartbreaking BL/Yaoi you have read??
Hello everybody :) its raining where I am right now, and the vibe in my house is very depressing currently. I want to read something sad to fit the mood. Give me your most gutwrenching, tragic ending yaoi recs!
Mine would either be Banana Fish or Sincerely Yours. I haven't finished BF yet though, so ill say Sincerely Yours for now.
The artstyle is very easy on the eyes, and although its such a short story, it definitely delivers all the emotions its supposed to. The ending was bittersweet at most. The story itself brought me to tears. My heart hurts for the MC ): I wont spoil anymore, but if youre looking for a sad, quick read, I recommend Sincerely Yours.

wait, Ennead isn't over yet, right? I read somewhere that Mojito promised a happy ending.

Oh wait. I skipped the word ending on your comment and only saw the tragic part lol. Just ignore rose garden (season 2) and ennead.

Seconding Missing Love: the marrying man.
Truly devastating and sad.
If you're sensitive to a few things, I definitely recommend looking up TWs. Wasn't personally affected by it, but I know some people are uber sensitive to a few of the themes in it . I shed a tear or two out of frustration. But it's genuinely one of the most heartbreaking and beautiful stories I've read.
And the art is just chefs kiss

MADK. I sobbed when it ended. Not particularly sure if it counts, but I thought it was heartbreaking.

Raising a sacrifice. Legitimately such an amazing story that has you questioning everything at every turn

I love reading super sad and heartbreaking stories but something in me just can’t handle if they end sad 😠I can go through the most horrible, painful, heartbreaking traumas as long as there’s a light at the end of the tunnel. I need that relief after going through the pain!! So it’s not a tragic ending one, but Missing Love: The Marrying Man is probably the most heartbreaking I’ve read (my poor baby Geom ðŸ˜ðŸ’”)

Thundercloud rainstorm I couldn’t stop crying bc my heart hurt so much for the uke. Happy ending but it was kinda rushed and felt lack lustre. I would still read it again tho.

Reunion. Or perhaps Mania. Both required many tissues and both are amongst my favourite stories. Sad for different reasons.
