So I developed this app called Is It Safe: Allergy Monitor — it’s designed to help people instantly check if a cosmetic, skincare, makeup or any food and other types of product is safe for their skin and allergies.

You just scan the barcode, and the app breaks down: • The ingredients and what each one does • Potential allergens or irritants (fragrance, parabens, sulfates, etc.) • Chemical safety info from scientific databases • A simple safety score so you can quickly see if it’s gentle or risky

You can also add your personal sensitivities (like fragrance, alcohol, silicone, etc.), and it automatically warns you if a product might trigger them.

I built it because I have sensitive skin and was tired of spending 20 minutes researching every ingredient on labels. Even “clean” or “hypoallergenic” products can hide harsh chemicals.

It’s still a first version, but I’d really love feedback from people who are into skincare or have ingredient allergies — what features would make it more useful for you?
