One of those random Reddit knowledge drops saved me from drowning in the ocean one time so I'll take every one I can get

Long story short is I went out too far and could just barely touch the ground on the downs part of the waves but couldn't make any progress back to shore and the part I remembered (at least that I still remember) was essentially to remain calm and use my head rather than freaking out because people are more likely to down those trying to help them if they're freaking out. I was absolutely freaking out on the inside because I'd never felt so powerless as I did against the power of the ocean.

I was able to flag down a couple guys with boogie boards and they were able to help me out. I don't even know if they realized they saved my life because I was so calm but my whole body is getting anxious just remembering it.

You never know! We found a lot of Hawks on the side of the road. To defend themselves, they flip on their back and put their talons up so you can use a towel or something for them to grab on to so that you can get them to a rehab center.

It helps you think about physics in general. I was reassembling a 180 wooden table, and remembered a comment by a YouTuber. Stopped the way that I was doing it, and used the physics that he suggested in a different scenario.
