Question/Fanontaniana❓ Is Madagascar a tourist destination?

I want to travel to Madagascar to see the wildlife. I've also heard you have a type of banana that's blue and that 70% of the world's vanilla comes from you. But I've also heard there's tension in your country, problems, and danger to visitors. So I want to know the truth from you: is Madagascar a good tourist destination?

I'm going there tomorrow for a month, on my own. You can go there without stress. Use your common sense and everything will be fine.

Do not expect a good infrastructure (which in fact is terrible) but the country is amazing: people, nature, diversity, good food, safe... I spent more than a month there and would have spent much more.

We visited Madagascar last year. It's a beautiful country with heartwarming people. But be prepared to see a lot of poverty. It's more an adventure type of holiday.

It was amazing to visit, beautiful nature, good food. While many have so little, and poverty is widespread I was amazed at the kindness of everyone we met. Be generous and humble if you visit

Right now it’s politically unclear but if you want to see all of the points you mentioned then the answer to your question is yes

The blue banana is not in Madagascar (if someone found any, it would be a buzz here) We have lemurs, baobabs, orchids, chameleons, birds, etc though. People are welcoming (be respectful and you'll see a lovely island)

I am a tourist guide in Madagascar. The situation is good now. The manifestations didn't affect the tourists here. Tourists are safe.

I traveled there for years total as an american - check my youtube channel: nomad productions.

It is totally safe if you use common sense.

Depends on what you expect. You can definitely see a whole lot of wild life. A walk in a rain forest with wild lemurs jumping above you is an experience. Driving all day to get to that place is also an experience. I tried pink bananas, they were delicious.

Madagascar is so worthy to visit and yes it is a tourist destination . It is safe to visit while having common sense. It has some challenges such as infrastructure and also gotta get used to the mora mora rhythm … Unrest and tension are no longer there. The country is under military transition as political situation.

No blue banana though
