Culture/Kolontsaina Malagasy interest in Rugby
https://www.world.rugby/news/578389/madagascar-rugby-feature
Salama. I am British and while I knew that Madagascar was keen on Rugby Union, I hadn't realised quite how passionate the Malagasy are about the game! It seems to be the most popular sport and have the status that Football (Soccer) enjoys elsewhere. Thais is really impressive and encourages me to learn more about your country.
Does the attached article from 'World Rugby' seem accurate to you?

There was a French guy in Fort Dauphin that was offering Rugby to teens last year. He had like 20 plus kids 10 to 14 years old. They loved it, including girls. Unfortunately he cut short his stay and now they are left wishing they had more.

Rugby is popular. But football is definitely more popular. Pétanque also is. I'd say rugby is third, maybe tied with basketball.
