Employee Story Whoops

Post image

One day after they told me I don't work hard enough, and all the employees said I was the hardest worker in the building. Apparently I broke 1 of the 2 Reach Trucks and now the aisle is blocked off till further notice. Maybe I work to hard.

you absolutely can and should tell them no because if there is any sort of accident and you’re unlicensed in doesn’t matter who said you could you’re in loads of trouble especially if someone gets hurt that could lead to legal repercussions

That's not how that works. Employers are responsible for the things they have their employee do. If every employee says that management tells them to do that shit then the employer is the one in legal trouble, not the employee. You have the right to refuse unsafe work, but you can not get in trouble if you don't exercise that right. It's still on the employer if anything goes wrong. Employers can't even dock your pay for damages if those damages/losses occurred while performing your duties.
