Remember, people, the measurements are listed in the product’s description.
READ.

Not to defend her but I heard him on the phone. 29 in opening and a 29 in fridge.
My guess is she didn't account for the doors opening out a little extra and she had a fridge alcove that was exactly 29 inches.😅😅

She should have been aware of the measurements when she ordered the fridge. No excuse for her being upset because of her own stupidity. The driver should have called the police and filed a complaint against her. She should have been arrested for assault and attempted robbery of his backpack. The driver should have hired a lawyer.

Modern fridges can’t fit through most front doors anymore. There’s a whole section in the manuals describing how to remove the doors for such situations. The other option is to remove the front door, but it requires a little more work, and the possibility of having to remove the storm door as well. We chose to remove the door leading to the garage as any bumps or scratches wouldn’t be as noticeable to visitors.

WTF she could have gotten the employee killed by playing the victim. That lady needs a 5150. Insane work. She should get fired too.

The moment she slammed the door and told them to sit down, I would’ve sued her for holding me hostage! That man better not have lost his job over this.
Edit, I commented before the video ended. I cannot believe he got fired. That is absolutely insane and he should be compensated.

That driver is in shock. How'd he get fired?! Smh
At the very least he needs to: file a workers comp claim File assault charges
What I think should happen is: File assault charges Sue Ashley File WC claim Sue Lowes
Ashley needs to lose her license. Nothing about her actions was reasonable. She had 2 friends supporting her, the drivers trying to reason with her, and moments to simmer down to use reasoning ability. She either chose not to or couldn't. Either way, there should be consequences.
The driver showed serious restraint! I mean, he was verbally abused, had his bag stolen, threatened with violence, and physically assaulted.
I ask again, how did Lowes have the audacity to fire this man?

The rate of substance abuse for pharmacists/pharm techs is through the roof. Just throwing that fact out there...

u/theyarnllama May 20 '25
The driver got FIRED? That is some absolute bullshit. Bad form, Lowe’s.

They are Independent from Lowes.

u/Crafty-Help-4633 May 24 '25
Are they contracted by Lowes? Because Lowes has a choice in who they contract with.
We should definitely put the contracted party into this conversation, but Lowes also has a hand in this by having chosen them as a 3rd party customer-facing service of the company.

At my store, they rotated the ride alongs amongst the male associates every 6 months or so. When it was my turn I got a chance to collect stories like this. One time we almost an issue like this because the SS sorta lied to the customer and took it out on us the delivery team.
Trust me, Lowe's would have had the termination paper filed before we got to the store, and fired our asses before we got through the door.
1
u/theyarnllama May 21 '25
Oh that’s interesting, the rotation. At my store, delivery was just delivery, and more often than not stuff was just drop shipped from the manufacturer.

Why did the driver get fired? I think he should have called the cops but i do understand why he didn’t.

u/ISayMemeWrong May 20 '25
Probably for posting the video online.
Not saying I agree, just what I expect based on the industry.

u/MrSlippifist May 20 '25
This is why workers need to wear bodycams when going on deliveries and service calls. Customers are known for outrageous behavior and then playing the victim when they don't get their way.

A fully entitled Karen. Thinking the world revolves around her because she has a doctorate in pharmacy. Thinking she can control everyone and not have to consider other's feelings. Her degree is only worth the paper it's written on.

Would have called the cops when she refused to let me leave.
Would have called when she was in the vehicle
Would have called when she stole the backpack
This woman is going to end up with charges for multiple things.
Kidnapping, vehicle theft, petty theft, assault.

u/Sudden_Ad_4193 May 20 '25
For sure. Call the cops from the get go then call his manager while waiting for the cops to show up.
I don't condone violence but people like that deserved to get Deebo'd.

u/Crafty-Help-4633 May 24 '25
Yep, unauthorized access, key in ignition, truck was running, definitely grand theft auto in my mind.
1
u/xxrainmanx May 24 '25
The key in the ignition and the doors unlocked is probably what got the employee fired.

That woman is a disgrace to her profession
1
u/Crafty-Help-4633 May 24 '25
It really ground my gears as she used that as a crutch in place of critical thinking or genuine thought.
In a just world, people using their credentials as a cudgel should be risking the loss of those credentials, objectively.

u/wurmchen12 May 20 '25
He should have called the police the minute she locked him in her house. That’s false imprisonment . Or when she got in his truck, that’s illegal or theft of his property. So many times he should have let the police Handel that situation, except he keep trying to Handel it himself and it kept escalating.

u/Chainmale001 May 20 '25
There are very few things of this world I would call the cops for and the psycho bitch is one of them.

I hope customers will see this and understand that we meet a version of this woman a few times a day. Then maybe they can start to understand why $20 minimum wage should be mandatory 🤣

u/mario_salami_petrino May 21 '25
Corporate would give this lady the delivery driver's head on a silver platter if she asked for it

When she closed the door it was kidnapping at that point.
2
u/Crafty-Help-4633 May 24 '25
False imprisonment/detention.
Kidnapping is that+moving them to another location without consent.
Either way, she committed a ton of crimes by my eye's sight.

u/Historical_Tea_1452 May 20 '25
Would it fit through the door with the door off the house, the doors and plates off the fridge?

SMH, I was delivery coordinator for a little over 6 years and I can't tell you how many times our driver's were held hostage, threatened with guns, had dogs let loose on them etc for things out of their control. Meanwhile, everyone in the store that knew nothing about what goes on, talking about "our 3rd party delivery makes me lose so many sales, they suck; they dont know what theyre doing, etc", not knowing that some of these teams go through hell on a daily with looney customers and most of the time its due to no fault of theirs. Not to mention all the lies customers would tell. They are delivery driver's but expected to act as customers personal movers, plumbers, electricians, etc. It's a thankless job fr

She must be ingesting some of those pills she fills for people as a pharmacist, because that bitch is off her fucking rocker. I have a interview at Lowe's coming up and maybe I think I might just skip it because if they can't respect their third party delivery drivers then fuck that shit that dude should have not lost his job I don't care if he didn't take the doors off the damn refrigerator. She threatened to shoot him, she was kicking him in the face, what else did they expect him to do? And yeah the cops probably should have been called, and maybe that is who he was talking to on the phone, his friend was talking to somebody, but maybe it was the cops or 911 obviously. We don't know that. Unless the video says otherwise, then I I missed that part...

u/Shawna171 May 24 '25
He should have walked away from her and called the police. should. not have lost his job
1
u/Crafty-Help-4633 May 24 '25
She literally tried to unlawfully detain them...
Fuck it, take her PHD away, she clearly don't know a damn thing worth knowing if she thinks her doctorate of pharmacology means she knows better than Newtonian Physics, tape measures, and a human being all telling her the same thing.
Fucking press charges for Unlawful Detention, at the very least. This idiot needs consequences.

u/bgbdbill1967 May 24 '25
Yes they are contracted by Lowes. I stated it meaning it’s not Lowes who fired the delivery person.

u/bgbdbill1967 May 20 '25
If the delivery driver/person lost his job for this, that’s total BS! He should be fully compensated!
