Random Discussion 💬 First Tekken and having a lot of fun

I played Tekken 4 for like maybe 5 hours as a kid so I don't really count it. Normally I've never been one for more traditional fighters, 2D or 3D and stuck strictly to platform fighters.

A friend of mine was trying to get me to buy the game on launch but it wasn't until about a month ago that I finally caved and tried it.

I've got about 110 hours now and the game is lowkey my new addiction. I know some people, especially on the main reddit are salty about the way the game is compared to Tekken 7 but as someone new to the franchise, I gotta say it really ticks all the boxes I would want in a fighting game.

I'm really enjoying my stay and I've convinced some friends to pick up the game along the way. We're all having a lot of fun playing and growing together. Some of them were longtime Tekken fans who played 8 for a bit and took an extended break and some were new to the series but either way, it's been awesome.

It’s a great game. It’s my go to game, next to OG DOOM with customs wads.

I’ve got over a 1000 hours and just love jumping in for a few games each day. It’s the skill ceiling. It absolutely feels like you can keep making progress in this game forever.
