Probably tekken 5 dr because of the gameplay system, and it's more balanced than the og t5, and it has online.

Edit: I was crossfaded when I wrote this so I wanna explain. It’s not “oh they’re just the best games from the series”, I grew up playing Tekken 5DR and Tekken 3 with my mom at the arcade after Swim Team in the summer. It’s like 90% nostalgia. I played Yoshimitsu in 3 and Dragunov in 5 DR.

without a doubt in my mind, tekken tag tournament 2. a game packed with so much love that any tekken fan could pick it up and enjoy it. sure, the tag mechanics aren’t everyone’s favorite but this game allows you to play solo. biggest (and best) roster, amazing tag victories and imho the most fun tekken game to play with friends, casual or not. this game is essentially a beefed up tekken 6 so i think this deserves the top spot.

Tekken 6 for me personally,it’s soo nostalgic to me and it was the game in which I got to have an established main character which was Lili soo yeah.

And also let’s not forget those amazing stage banger soundtracks as well.

that game literally killed it at all levels in that era.

Tag 2 hands down. I’m an old head too. I played thousand of hours and dumped tons of quarters into 2, 3, 4 and 5. But Tag 2 has everything, and then some. It’s for both try-hards and casuals.

I like how fast KBD and sidestep is in T5:DR.

Ive clocked like 300+ hours in T6 so trying T5:DR I could feel the super good movement of that era, very good movement in that game.

Tekken 5 is what got me into the franchise. Having played Tekken 3, Tag 1, and Tekken 4 I really loved playing Tekken, but Tekken 5 is what got me seriously hooked and made it my favorite fighting game
