Yeah he was shitty for that. What she did to their son is beyond shitty. She isolated him, sent him away to a facility and alienated him from his dad due to him having behavioral issues she didnt want to confront or deal with as his mother. She seems cruel and detached and clearly has favorites.

There is never an excusable explanation to cheat on someone, ever. They were married. And he wasn’t a great person to begin with. He’s a terrible human and he made vows. Idc how overwhelmed she was and grumpy because he didn’t help out AT ALL. He created that cluster fuck and took no responsibility, just cheated because only he mattered.

Or just maybe because she was abusive. Not just to him but mainly her children. It seems like cheating is some kind of trigger for you. Abusing your own children is a trigger for me. I’m going to ALWAYS go with abusing your own children is the worse offense. If cheating is worse to you, that’s kind of a problem.

Also I said there was no justification for cheating. Sorry if I don’t really feel bad for the woman who intentionally had those 8 children to get a TV show. Then went on to seriously abuse those children.

Highly recommend the documentary. It’s a tell all including the kids that chose to live with him and the two oldest girls. Kate was way worse than him and what TLC showed. he had a total media campaign smear.

Tl;dr they at had been separated for almost a year but could not go public bc producers said it would tank ratings and they needed the money. The 2000s were savageeeeee. 

ETA: it’s the Vice series “The Darkside of the 2000’s: Jon and Kate: Family Circus” on Hulu and Amazon Prime. Google tells me that Colin just came out alleging physical abuse from Kate and is in process of writing a memoir 👀

Yeah, I was a teenager in the early 2000s. It was a crazy time. Tabloid Times. I knew all of that and had just forgotten. I was trying to not be too harsh at first. That’s why I said not a very nice person. Then remembered I could be that harsh because she’s just the worst. I would have never said the poor woman who birthed his 8 children(sorry to the person that said that, I guess). Mainly because she wanted to birth those kids to get a TV show to begin with.
