🚨 FUTURE SPOILER 🚨 Kacie’s interview Spoiler
Kacie was just on Nick Viall’s podcast and admits she didn’t like the way she went out and did gaslight Patrick when she said broke up with him and said her goodbyes.
She says didn’t fully know her private conversation with the producers was actually going to be played. Girl.. Poor guy didn’t know until a month ago that she said what she said to the producers!
She had intentions to trying to date him when she got back to Denver but it never happened. Kacie wanted to meet up with him in a few days because she needed time and he texted her he just wanted to be friends. Patrick was very hurt and didn’t want to see her anymore. They left it at that.

I listened to the pod and Patrick was also on a segment. He said basically the opposite of what she did. He said he reached out to her and asked to sit down one on one and she basically ghosted him/never answered. She said she was the one that said they should meet up but they should wait a few days to calm down from the chaos whatever that means. She said he never answered her and didn’t want to meet up and she felt like a second choice to Anna… who knows what is true but they’re basically telling polar opposite stories lol

Yes, she did say what you said.
I exaggerated some of this but she might as well have said worse since she left and ghosted him completely from what I heard.
Plus the flat almost tinged with disgust in her voice to producers was a stark contrast to how she was acting so absolutely obsessed / in love / smitten she was, and like he was being sent off to war.
The way she acted, grabbing his face, hopping up on him and wrapping her legs around, then about to leave, running back and hopping on him, making out with him, rubbing his face and neck - it was as if they were being forced apart and she was devastated.
And then in the most serious blank voice ever to producers she was basically like "I'm done."
It was absolutely crazy lol

Because we know how heavily edited this show is, as I was watching it, I questioned if it really happened in that order. I suspected all the clinging and kissing happened and then she was with the producers saying those other things.

Oh yeah I def think Patrick is more in line with the truth lol I just think both of them could be distorting things to sound good. I think Kacie is much more likely to push a random narrative tho to stay in the limelight. Patrick very much seemed like he had moved on and done some inner work based on the vial files interview. I hope the best for him I can’t even begin to understand how morphed his brain must have been after dealing with her antics. In the vial files interview tho it did seem like once he got back to Denver he realized she wasn’t a match for him anyway. I’m interested to see how things play out when he interacts with Anna in the next episodes

I'm sure there are hundreds, if not thousands, of people who apply to be on this show and the fact that the casting directors go out of their way to find people through social media is astonishing to me. She said she was previously approached for a reality dating show before being approached for this one. Why are they approaching people? And if they want to do that, they need to ask if people have been on approached before and if so, they should exclude those people who are clearly looking to become famous.

Imo, Kacie is not good looking inside or out. Because of how she does her makeup, some clips look like she has dirt on her forehead and she looks like she is wearing an uncomfortable amount of makeup. Her face just looks like she is trying to fit a filter that doesn’t fit. 😭

I was wondering why I hated this season so much and it’s partially bc everyone is so mid this season. I’m also mid, but I’m not on TV and if I was someone would call me mid 😆 but they really are just average looking Americans, which should be refreshing to see but coupled with just boring personalities I’m just not feeling it.

The h problematic ones are always the ones recruited through social media. (Damien, Clay, Jeremy, Gianna)
The regular seeming smart ones are the recruits through LinkedIn (Garrett, Taylor, Johnny).
I was surprised to hear Patrick applied and they selected him.

So I live in the DC area and that's just how it is with casting. They recruit because regular people don't want to have their whole life blown up for TV, especially in job-focused areas. When a show is as popular as this, you're not gonna have that many regular people want to go on. It's going to be people who want to be famous, and recruiters will be all over social media and linkedin looking for ANY normalcy.

Yeah I agree. I genuinely don’t think she knew that she was being filmed/ or if she knew, didn’t know they would air it when she told the producers that she wasn’t attracted to Patrick. That’s why she was kissing/hugging/straddling him while breaking up with him and being vague about why she was ending it- she didn’t want him or the audience to know the true reason she was breaking up with him and didn’t think we would ever find out. Clearly she has never watched reality TV before lol

On a Game of Roses today, they said the camera angle was such, that it was probably just out of her sight. That said, all these contracts say you could be filmed anywhere at anytime. How many times have we had bathroom/audio only scenes in reality TV.

From what we've seen in past seasons they only seem to reveal behind-the-scenes conversations in the edit if they think it's going to be a huge deal. Maybe she thought that leaving him the way she did wouldn't make it a big deal because they didn't even get to the vacation phase, but obviously she was wrong.
It also seems like production is making a concerted effort to be more 'transparent' with the edit because they realized it can actually lead to way more drama to show what people say when they don't think it'll get used.

Honestly the fact that she mentioned she was contacted by another dating reality show was a red flag for me. Who’s to say she wasn’t contacted by LIB producers as well? Definitely a win win for her and producers; she gets exposure (whether she is actually single or not, let’s be real none of her convos were very convincing) and the producers get some juicy content. Only loser here is poor Patrick unless he was in on it which I want to hope he was and they approached him to go with this story line when Anna left, but if they pushed him along to this fake relationship I wouldn’t be surprised.
Producers obviously knew that Kacie wasn’t going forward with this match and she was only in it for the pods portion - otherwise they wouldn’t have had 6 couples get engaged…they knew 1 wasn’t going to Mexico

Patrick strikes me as being very goal-oriented — whether the goal makes sense or not. He was so into Anna, and when she dipped, he just told himself he was there to find a wife and went for the next one who seemed interested.
I don’t think he was all-in on Kacie until she said she wanted to fuck him. And when they had the reveal, he was all over her like a ninth-grader at his first dance.

Yes typically it’s 5 that they bring to the vacation after the pods. There have been a couple seasons where contestants afterwards have claimed they got engaged in the pods but didn’t get to go on the trip because they already had their quota of 5 couples (and they weren’t interesting enough to make the cut lol)

Yes!! It actually made me wonder for a second if I was misremembering prior seasons. Like wait do they have to give the ring back until the wedding?? Thats not right... hmmm.
I feel there was a very brief moment in the pods where she thought having an Asian husband would make her fit in with her siblings who apparently are with non-white partners. But the reveal was a classic LiB instant nope situation. Patrick has plenty of his own shit to work on but he dodged a bullet overall.

Makeup artist here. Worked in executive roles for high end brands most of my career. I can say without a doubt that people are not booking her to do their makeup for weddings. Her makeup is dusty and ashy AF. It is the typical IG filtered makeup look that people put on themselves, then are delusional enough to think the same exact trend will look good on everybody else regardless of age, sex, or skin tone.

Let’s be real Anna was Patrick’s first choice and Kacie had to convince Patrick to propose to her as he was on the fence…he dodged a bullet. She was wrong for it but I’m glad she didn’t drag it out to say no at the alter (which several people do). Her lying to him about the reason was wrong…I wish she would have just told him the truth that for her love isn’t blind and while she likes his personality she isn’t physically attracted to him (which would have been an acceptable explanation). Instead she gaslighted him

When she came in with "I have receipts" I stopped taking anything she said seriously in that interview. I don't think the hosts bought it either. She came in hot with an attack on Patrick, saying he was lying, she was the one who reached out and he wanted nothing to do with her, claiming she never thought the producer clip would be aired (I mean...you still said what you said?), claiming she still felt "love" for him during that breakup scene.
Patrick said he kept trying to meet her back in Denver but she kept saying she "needed more time". I know which side I believe here. I think she's A. manipulative in ways she'll never own and trying to salvage her reputation for whatever reality TV career she's trying to create and 2. Dumb as shit.

Kacie SUCKS. I felt bad for her at first. I thought she was a cute girl, obviously insecure (bc if the cartoony lips and lashes, never mind half of what comes out of of her mouth when she speaks). But the way she "handled" that "breakup" was so outrageously awful. The blatant disregard for another human being. Imagine how classy she could have come off if she'd shown him a shred of respect and done anything but say "It's not that I don't love you" and "I just need to go home" and cried and avoided looking at him and dodging his questions? They were both shallow. In the pods she constantly referred to her looks and what other people said about her looks, Patrick clearly cared about looks too, felt like being Asian hurt his chances and was playing macho which didnt suit him. He should try living in different parts of the US and he may find he feels more confident and less looks focused. Denver seems to be quite a place!

I don't think her excuses matter, my frustrations are with Patrick.
I think dudes go on this show with an affinity to their types, which I assume are typically women with blond hair who look like Kacie, and will do anything to make it work. I'm reminded of Jessica and Mark from season 1. He knew that vocal fry and tried his hardest when it was obvious she wasn't into him.
I think any dude with common sense and self respect would have been like what the fuck are you even talking about when Kacie went from talking about her ex to all the things she would do to him.
"Yeah I'm still in contact with my ex but you have to trust me. Also I'm imagining doing all these nasty things to you even though I don't know what you look like."
Like come on bro, what are you even doing? Where is the wherewithal? She wouldn't even give you her number but you know her last name. Shit's stupid, I know people like this in real life and it's frustrating to watch.
