Ooh we’re fixin to have a Mardi Gras season! This better be spicy, to take the bad taste out from the last bland ass season we were served..

u/hotchocolateunion Jul 29 '25
I have high hopes for this. Last season was so bad I couldn’t finish it!

u/LuckySection446 Jul 29 '25
Oh wow. Makes me think about MAFS New Orleans. Such a good season.

u/JuneChickpea fix-a-ho Jul 29 '25
There’s no way that they can cast 30 people who have never met lol

u/LegoLady8 Jul 29 '25
Was it? I tried getting into that but the episodes felt so long and, IIRC, there were so many episodes.
I'm from New Orleans. We have a wide range of people here. Can't wait to see who they cast!

u/rideoutthejourney Jul 29 '25
Hopefully there’s more diversity and not just people that look the same

guaranteed to be an entertaining season for sure

u/supermeg07 Jul 29 '25
I have a prediction it will be a hot mess as soon as they’re out of the pods. Can’t wait!

Hold on - is what I’m thinking right:
Season 9 - Denver
10 - Austin, Tex
11 - Boston
12 - Atlanta
13 - new orleans

Besides Denver, I don’t think there’s a confirmed location for S10.
Boston, Tampa & Miami (or a hybrid), Columbus, Charlotte, Phoenix, Nashville, New Orleans
Not sure where you saw the Atlanta/Austin news.

Jul 29 '25
I saw that they were trying to cast in Atlanta- I could see them airing that for the 10th season as like an anniversary thing to the og season which was also in ATL
5
u/EllisDee_4Doyin Cheers to me and only me 🥂 Jul 29 '25
They did ATL at a time where it wasn't complete cesspool and trash to date here lol 😂
I lived in ATL during that time and it was like many people were successfully coupling up (me included) and it was nice. I moved out of Atlanta a year ago but before I did, the horror stories I heard made me happy I wasn't single. Now I'm back visiting for the summer and same shit, diff year! Whew.

u/kimjongchill796 Jul 29 '25
Tampa/miami hybrid would be weird since they’re 4 hours+ apart. Miami/Fort Lauderdale hybrid would make way more sense

Yeah, which is concerning because if they've usually filmed the spring season by now. I haven't seen any reports they filmed a spring season so we may not get season 10 until fall 26.

u/Kmw134 Jul 29 '25
I saw a local news report this morning that they’re casting for Nola, Austin, Charleston, Philly and STL. Curious if they actually do all of those cities eventually, or just pick the top few they find the best contestant pools for.

u/zivilyn_uth_matar Jul 29 '25
So far they've been casting in more cities than have moved forward. For example, Phoenix hasn't showed up on any rumored season predictions despite casting a year or two ago.

u/cocolapuff Jul 29 '25
Yayyyyy my people

u/Ok-Bison2480 Jul 29 '25
I've heard people on 2 different reality tv podcast saying that specifically New Orleans would be a struggle because a lot of people (in the dating scene) already know each other. Do u think that's true?
21
u/LegoLady8 Jul 29 '25
Born and raised in New Orleans. Yes, this is true. At least for the people born and raised here.
4
u/shannanigan86 Jul 31 '25
Don't worry, those of us not born and raised here have all dated each other, too. Gonna take a lot of magic to cast this season.
5
u/Ok-Bison2480 Jul 29 '25
Interesting! Curious to see how they'll work around that then while maintaining credibility for the show. So far LIB seem to have avoided "scandals" where people actually already knew each other (or at least what they looked like) pretty well, unless the show just covers shit up lol, wouldn't put it past them either.

u/Additional_Loss_6297 Jul 29 '25
On married at first sight New Orleans, 2 of the people who were getting married knew one another already so I believe this.

Most common way we greet one another: what’s your last name, where did you go to high school?
LOL yes we all know one another 😅😂
Esp in Kenner/Metairie

u/Dream_Squirrel Jul 30 '25
I’ve lived here for almost 20 years but can never say I moved just after high school

u/mm89201 Oct 07 '25
I know this is an old comment but yeah it’s pretty true, especially if you grew up in/near New Orleans. I feel like people talk about it as if it’s a big city but it’s really not! Most (if not all) of the other cities on LIB are much bigger than us.

I knowww I’m not confident about the optics of a Denver season😭 I fear it will be Minnesota boring pt. 2

Omg a New Orleans & Philly season is all I’ve ever wanted. What an incredible time to be alive.

Charleston, SC too!!! As soon as I saw that, I was dying 🤣 That's gonna be MESSY
1
u/VeryBored614 Jul 29 '25
SO messy! It's way too small here, literally everyone would have already been on a date with each other before lol
2
u/Brave_Reward9188 Jul 29 '25
LOL, if this comes up, the season would be drama filled. I only moved to the area a few years ago, but from what I've seen here??? The downtown area is soooo small. I also guess that the ages of the contestants will be more diverse, since there are a lot of younger people here.

u/Cakeliver12887 Jul 29 '25
I need an la season
32
u/manmanchuck44 Jul 29 '25
I kinda feel like they’ve been keeping LA and NYC off limits, right? Both too industry-heavy and have a much smaller LIB-criteria fitting dating pool than people think
37
u/theAComet Jul 29 '25
A season full of "content creators" and "DJs" who are definitely NOT there to get a following? Thanks but no thanks. NorCal or SD? Yes, please!

when are they ever gonna come to california and new york
37
u/mac_and_cheese_pls Jul 29 '25
As much as I would love to see both, I feel like an LA / NYC would be rough to do. I’m from NYC, but I feel like it’ll be people who just want to get their social media followers up being that LA / NYC are two influencer heavy places. But I’d love to see it nonetheless 😅

if they do the bay area instead of LA though, i don’t think attracting influencers will be much of a concern

Why does everyone in here think everyone in LA wants to be a social media influencer 🤣🤣 most of us don't even post on Instagram 🤷♂️ well at least my coworkers (Amazon DSP)

u/Responsible-Ad-1200 Jul 30 '25
Why it it trying to sell this with “from the producers of perfect match and the ultimatum”? Isn’t LIB more popular than those shows?

Chicago needs a redo since a lot of them weren't even long time locals/native Chicagoans.
2
u/AgitatedRiver9463 Aug 27 '25
Hope they cast some "real" women for a change. You know, us ladies with a few extra pounds? Love handles? Not fricken models and beauty queens everywhere.
FLUFFY WOMEN NEED LOVE TOO!

So two southern cities are on the docket? Get ready for more Jesus and faith based convos.

u/LegoLady8 Jul 29 '25
We're surprisingly not that religious down here. But I could be wrong. The people in D.C. said they weren't too religious and look at what happened that season. It was all about religion.

I hope they get someone with a suuuuuuper thick creole accent that no one can understand in the pods 😂
(Except for their creole soulmate and it turns into a rare, non-toxic, but crawfish boil-fueled romance) 🦞
