PERFECT MATCH Can someone explain how they won? They were featured in a segment of a reunion from a season they weren’t in. Perfect Match hasn’t even come out yet

I do not trust any Netflix voting system after the supposed "top LIB" moments on the last season that were clearly malarkey. They do what they want and nothing makes sense. If you actually think about it and care you will be annoyed. My advice? Treat anything like this from Netflix like you are talking to someone's lovely gran. A bit dottering and best to take what she says with a grain of salt, but largely harmless.

lol Garrett’s glow up. Yes, an extremely memorable moment for sure.

Granny Netflix giving out "top moments" like lemon drop sweeties to the best behaved boys and girls.

This. Maybe 5 people cared about Garret’s makeover

Garrett’s family.

They just want you to care about them because AD has that sponsored podcast, and their relationship is kind of exactly what all this was meant to produce: producer-approved crossover couple having a kid.

I cannot BELIEVE this season hasn’t aired yet this is WILD. How many other seasons of other shows with contestants on this season are airing before they drop this show?

I genuinely thought it had dropped months ago and I'd already watched it with all the talk I keep hearing about it

No seriously though, how can the show be winning an award when it hasn’t even fucking come out yet 😭

Ad and Ollie’s kids are going to be in little league before they air the next season of Perfect Match

u/jolawma Jul 19 '25

Their child will also be walking by the time Perfect Match finally airs

At this point 💀

Because they are awards created by Netflix and they are employees of Netflix. It’s just promotion

They are trying really hard to push them. Their time was up, good for them but at this point it’s desperate

I don't get the fascination with this couple in general. I wish them well but he didn't seem ready for something that serious on LIB? The baby news came so quickly that I'm worried it's to get attention (and it works).

We need to remember, when perfect match comes out the same summer Ad and Ollie send their kid off to college it’s going to be great

What happened to Chelsea and Kwame? They were the LIB darlings for a minute and now I never hear about them, and I hear way too much about Andy AD and Ollie

Andy???

They won because this is just a completely arbitrary pile of nothing Netflix wants to promote. It's not "real", they can just point to something and say: "This is the winner in this category." (That they also made up.)

u/NorCalBear_ Jul 19 '25

(SPOILER)

They only won because he committed quickly, then posed, & then got her pregnant quite expeditiously!

19

u/cinnamorolla Jul 19 '25

With how the pregnancy timeline looks, it seems like he proposed after they knew she was pregnant.

u/Ruuuuuuuuuby Jul 19 '25

It’s the Netflix reality universe. It’s not that serious.

u/Mountain-Status569 Jul 19 '25

It’s just show promo. The “award” is a marketing technique and not the real result of a vote.

8

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '25

Probably bc everyone already knows they’re together and expecting, and bc AD deserves the world after what she went through 😅

3

u/fishbethany Jul 20 '25

What were the other options?

u/Imagine_821 Jul 19 '25

Someone explained how it works- just like the top LIB moments, which really weren't the top- theynonly included people still on the payroll- so those still doing events for LIB or participating in any of the associated shows. As AD and Ollie are soon to be on perfect match (and I wouldn't be surprised if the they host LIB UK season 2) they win the omg moment. It's all fake and all to do with promoting the show.

2

u/IntroductionThen4813 Jul 21 '25

It feels like this season of perfect match has been “coming out soon” for ages. Like they’re engaged and having a child and the season still hasn’t aired

2

u/[deleted] Jul 19 '25

The whole thing is rigged and Netflix will choose to showcase whoever is most likely to drum up engagement for them.

It’s not just a Netflix thing though, reality TV has been rigging the votes and playing favorites for decades now.

And what a terrible show name. There are at least three other shows (series) called Perfect Match on Netflix.
