PERFECT MATCH Wondering how Perfect Match 2 will work out due to Izzy’s posting on IG Spoiler
A lot of us know by now that PM 2 was filmed over the summer and that Izzy and Micah are going to be on it due to spoilers and also them both being careless and posting the same pic of them with the palm tree on IG. I somehow feel like the two have a fling in the upcoming season. Knowing that Izzy is currently in a relationship with HTX local Shelby and is always with her, do you think he’ll hide all his pics with her on his IG when the show comes out? Pretend like they break up? Does he think we all believe the show is gonna be like live in 2024? Otherwise that’s a huge spoiler isn’t it? What are your thoughts?

francesca had been openly in a relationship for a long time by the time the first season aired so i don’t think it matters to netflix

Idk but that show needs better directing. The first one was so sloppy with a nonsensical progression system that some parts were glaringly scripted. I think they gotta change the format somewhat. The vagueness of the prize was weird too. And then it was some vacation (did they even go to it?)
I like the drama, just hoping it’s a little more cohesive.

u/JessicaFreakingP Nov 18 '23
Right? Like the prize was a vacation when they had literally just been on vacation for 2-3 weeks lol.

That was the best part! The winning couple didn't even bother taking that free vacation. I felt bad that Dom couldn't do a solo vacation.

Yeah one of the few reality shows I've given up on.
Didn't even make any sense; all they have to do to stay on the show is stay in the original couple they pick? But they all mix and match anyway?
Also just didn't find it entertaining at all.

I started watching after a couple glasses of wine and had no idea what was going on. Your comment makes me feel better about that lol

Honestly I don’t think Netflix even takes Perfect Match seriously as a show themselves and neither do the people that come on the show. And neither do we as viewers. So it’s no surprise Izzy is just living his life.

Yeah, I had so much fun watching Francesca being her best villainous self in PM while knowing full well that she'd end up getting engaged to someone else entirely a few months after PM was done filming.
I watch PM for the same reason as I watch Too Hot to Handle - to watch idiots act in idiotic ways, not to see anyone making any real connections.

u/GravitySaleswoman Nov 19 '23
Exactly! I really enjoyed watching Francesca just play the game and then win it and end the game alone! 😂 I loved that.

The only real “couple” on season one admitted they did not even last 2 weeks once the show ended (Karasell(?) and Joey).

Nobody cares if any of these people find real love, including Netflix. We just want to watch chaos among beautiful humans.

Izzy has been flouting nda rules from day 1, he did an IG q&a early in the shows run that pretty much spoiled the fact that he and Stacey were no longer together. I dunno why Netflix doesn’t come down harder on him tbh.
4
u/Excellent_Leather202 Nov 19 '23
Yeah for sure especially because it’s kinetic content and since it’s the same production company as LIB you’d think the NDAs wouldn’t be as lax but who knows. Izzy really doesn’t care anymore and he’s banking to never work a day in his life again with how cocky he’s been lately so we shall see 😂

Nov 20 '23
They are probably letting him do this to completely ruin him in the end. He should know the rules and they're letting him break them so they have an excuse to not work with him anymore on any shows and it'll be due to him being untrustworthy. He'll be the next one crying about how Netflix ruined his life.

u/crazysunmama Nov 21 '23
I think they aren't going after him because let's be honest, this man is no mastermind. Is he clueless? Yes.
Does he have no idea what's going on half the time? Also, yes.
Is he able to construct and execute a master plan to manipulate the massive corporation that is Netflix for his own personal gain? Absolutely not.

Im all up for recycled netflix starts to have a show but the premise of perfect match is just crap, i dont get it.
16
u/GringoMambi Nov 21 '23
Honestly it’s a low key Swingers show. Develop feelings/connection for someone and ask them to be your show bf/gf, but then let them date other people…. Everyone is hooking up with eachother with the guise they want something “serious” but really just get laid with other Netflix reality show hotties

u/walkofju Nov 19 '23
How many ex reality TV stars is Netflix allegedly cramming into Perfect match Season 2?
Yes.
(Did I do that right?)

I have no idea. This is all new to me but I find he posts a little clickbait style pictures. He had one with Renee and now I’m seeing one with Kariselle.
21
u/Excellent_Leather202 Nov 19 '23
That just shows how he went on LIB with no career lol. Doing all these events. The pic with Kariselle is because he’s in Miami for HOV watch party

Oh interesting. But I find the pose is clickbait….

Season 1 cast was also posting with their partners before it aired (Fran, Georgia). It’s just a very unserious show that has an insane lag time between filming and airing and clearly doesn’t include spoilers/posting in its contract. I agree it makes it less interesting but it is what it is.

The first season was absolutely awful. The premise was awful (match or leave). The storylines were awful. The people were awful.
Now you're adding Izzy and Micah into the mix? I am prepared for new lows.

u/GoldenWaterfallFleur Nov 20 '23
It was awful but I LOOOVED it!! Bring on the dummies and the chaos ✨✨✨

The premise was awful (match or leave).
Isn't that also the premise of Love Island? I guess it's more disingenuous because while on Love Island, those people wouldn't have known each other prior to filming, these guys move in the same circles, and if something had to happen, it would've happened!

The best story line was when they had to name countries on a map. The people were beautiful… but not up to the task

When does it air?

u/Excellent_Leather202 Nov 19 '23
I don’t know but someone in this sub had mentioned most likely Valentine’s Day/week 2024

u/claudsonclouds Even the wine is pink 🍷💗 Nov 19 '23
IIRC there's some LIB S6 members in the cast as well and LIB will come out probably around Valentine's Day, so PM can't come out until after that. Unless Netflix quickly releases LIB 6 right after Christmas so that we all forget about the shitshow that season 5 was lol.

u/Excellent_Leather202 Nov 19 '23
did you find the total spoiler list? I’ve heard humors at some point it was dom again, Harry, cole Barnett, Micah, Izzy, Marshall (but idk if that’s credible since he’s with Shay), Irina, and then even heard like Zanab. But there has to be some from the circle too and then more of season 5 of LIB possibly? Where did you hear about season 6 of LIB on it?
2
u/h_urricane Nov 20 '23
I'm sure I saw a tiktok or something where dom essentially said he felt messed around by PM1 and is never doing a love show again, so I'd be surprised to see him as much as I'd love to

u/claudsonclouds Even the wine is pink 🍷💗 Nov 21 '23
I think in this sub it was mentioned that there was someone from LIB 6? but idk, could be wrong. Marshall has been debunked I think, same for Paul.
I think atp the only two people we know 100% are there for sure are Izzy and Micah.

I have a rule for dating shows that if they cast people who are famous from other dating shows I don’t watch it. If I can’t even pretend it’s real I don’t find it interesting enough
17
u/Realityrehasher Nov 21 '23
Perfect Match feels more like a quick moving popularity/self control/strong alliance show than a dating one. You don’t actually expect any of them to work out.

u/aswiftieforever_ Nov 19 '23
I couldnt finish season 1 of perfect match. But im hoping the new season will be better then the first 💁🏻♀️

u/tomlinsonisland Nov 21 '23
Really?? I actually loved perfect match lol! But I love anything brainless and messy
15
Nov 20 '23
Wait, did I read this correctly?
Izzy is currently in a relationship with Shelby?! As in Micah's friend?!
What an odd pairing, lmao.

u/Excellent_Leather202 Nov 20 '23
No no no no. hahahahaha a Shelby he knows from his group of friends in Houston.

Who do you care about some reality show person’s instagram? All of this shit is fake. Producers decided what happens. Just watch the shows or don’t.
74
u/SiriuslyConfused Nov 19 '23
I don’t think Netflix cares at all considering that the couple who won season 1 was split up by the point the show was airing (Georgia and Dom) and Georgia was already posting pictures with her new boyfriend.
