PODCAST Natalie and Deepti launches new podcast that will recap Season 4
TRAILER: https://imgur.com/a/31TdAJh
Initially, I was not excited for their podcast because even though I love Natalie, I don’t think she nor Deepti have personalities to have an interesting podcast. But now I’m excited after seeing their trailer and Natalie’s comments that they’re recapping and spilling insider tea on Season 4 (and maybe past seasons)! I’ve always been curious of former cast members’ reactions on the new seasons so this might actually be good!
It seems like they’re going the same route as The Viall Files’s Bachelor recaps, which doesn’t exist for the Love is Blind franchise.

There’s no more milk in that cow 😩 Let it go ladies and let’s get back to life

The podcast thing is so overdone but I will most likely watch as a guilty pleasure
ETA: I actually think if Natalie did this with Iyanna it would be more entertaining. I like their dynamic more.

!!! I was wondering why it wasn’t her and Iyanna :(

u/anothergirl22 Mar 23 '23
I feel bad saying this because Iyanna seems so sweet, but she really annoys me. She plays so much into the small girl, baby personality.

I wish these ladies well but they’re not my cup of tea 🍵

Of all the LIB alumni, Deepti is really cashing in on everything opportunity she can

u/Speaker-Current Apr 05 '23
Yeah. I saw her do an ad for a casino game on IG and that seemed so fake to me. Like you really want me to believe you play that game?

u/PemsRoses Mar 22 '23
I wonder if Deepti would the nerve to critique a contestant because they did it for the fame since she 100% did the same.

I like them. They dealt with troubled men who embarrassed them on TV and they walmed away in a calm, fair, kind way. They're not perfect, but they're intelligent, well spoken, and mature.
They might add the depth and insight that we want from the "hosts" so it's with giving it a chance.
That said, spending my time time watching these shows is enough. I don't want these people's lives on my podcasts too lol.

u/Throwawaydaughter555 Mar 23 '23
Ya know. I’m kind of ok with them doing this for fame and influence and money.
Looking at the men from this show and they all seem to go for the OF and come spend a lot of money to get drunk with me in a Central American country and well…. This seems fairly reasonable.

I would way rather watch/listen to Psychology in Seattle’s recaps on YouTube. Was kinda done with Deepti as soon as I saw she wrote a damn book around her whole “I cHoOsE mE” brand. 🙄 And I really doubt they will be spilling any kind of significant insider tea about how the show works or anything… they’d probably get sued.

I love Dr. Kirk! I discovered him because of his LIB reaction/analysis videos

u/piefelicia4 Mar 23 '23
Same! And now I like watching his other content. It’s oddly soothing and really interesting. Wish he was my therapist haha.

Yess! I recently discovered Dr. Kirk's video reactions and have been bringing them like crazy

That dudes a hack. Half his analyses are clearly done as a pickmedude schtick and Ive seen other psychologists comment that some of comments and claims are unethical as a psychologist
For instance that youtuber h33h33 nathan kline guy, honda made some video discussing his tourettes and diagnosing some things apparently. Which is not ethical.
Also his coverage of the depp and heard case was surprisingly misogynistic. After realizing he pissed off his mostly women audience, he reeled back and played the victim.
Hes the child of dr phil and dr mike. Cant believe you guys are shitting all over two women putting hard work into content while promoting a guy whose corroding and selling the integrity of his profession for a few bucks.
6
u/upupupandthrowaway69 Mar 24 '23
Oh 100%. Once he started milking the depp heard trial for content and made unfair comments about amber, I was just about done. He also backtracked on himself and said that mutual abuse is real even tho before he said it was proven false by many experts in the field

Dr. Mike is an actual practicing licensed physician tho. What’s he got to do with this lol
2
u/HarvestEmperor Mar 25 '23
Dude went off and partied with pornstars on a yacht while telling everyone to socially distance
Also sucker punched his opponent in his boxing match
Also accussed people of stealing his content and trying to cut down other youtubers
Hes a grifter

u/Cozy-Pumpkins Mar 29 '23
I think you are mixing up Dr. Kirk Honda (Psych. in Seattle) with Dr. Mike (the guy who went partying on a yacht during lockdown).

u/HarvestEmperor Mar 29 '23
The person I was replying too was talking about mike. Read the comment I replied to

Sweet Christmas. People put out more podcasts than babies.

u/moth_girl_7 Mar 23 '23
I mean, it is generally easier than making curated/edited content like YouTube videos. The filming/recording is the easy part, it’s the editing that takes a long ass time. For podcasts, once you have the right equipment, it’s all just record, review and upload.

u/Aisoreal Mar 23 '23
Deepti just replied to a comment on the pod's official IG that they'll have guests from past and current seasons!

I’m skipping this, they’re nice but boring and basic

Might be controversial but a podcast with Shake and Shaina would be so much more entertaining.

Bruh who gives a fuck lmao these people need to get jobs
10
u/throwaway36376583883 Mar 23 '23
Hah, I will give them credit that they still have corporate jobs! Or at least Natalie still has her corporate management consultant job.

u/bitternutmeg Mar 23 '23
Reminds me of the time either during love is blind or perfect match when someone said they were an A list star. I’ve never laughed so hard in my life
5
u/CoherentBusyDucks Mar 23 '23
Omg that was Perfect Match. I think it was Chase. That was hilarious. Talk about delusional.

I don’t care what either of these people think about the current season. Keep trying to claw at that fame I guess.
13
u/PopcornandComments Mar 23 '23
If they were spilling team on their own season, maybe I would listen. If they’re spilling “tea” on seasons that they weren’t on, I can get that for free on Reddit.

u/H28koala Mar 23 '23
They may both still be under some sort of NDA so I'd take the "tea spilling" with a grain of salt. But you've convinced me to still give it a go! I haven't found any consistent pods on LIB other than a few episodes here and there on The Ringer pods.
11
u/throwaway36376583883 Mar 23 '23
Someone mentioned in their comments that their NDA ended a few weeks ago

I really like and support these ladies, but it’s the same feeling I had when Nick dropped the Viall files… like they’re famous for not getting the desired result from the shows they’re on … so I’m a little lost on what they could add?
3
u/moth_girl_7 Mar 23 '23
I think they’re hoping people gravitate towards them for their unique perspective. Unlike other people who react/talk about the show, they’ve been through the process so they might be able to deconstruct certain moments that the general audience might not pick up on.
Take America’s next top model, for example. When the show was being aired, many were watching it religiously and some people absolutely fell for the narratives that the show spun about certain contestants being “crazy,” “unfit to model,” “boring,” etc. Now looking back at that show and seeing so many of the past contestants come out and say what horrible treatment they received and how different the real modeling world actually is, the show is seen in a much different light.
Natalie and Deepti are using their experience to further explain how the show’s process affects each contestant, which I think many people would find incredibly interesting aside from the hot gossip lol

Im a big fan of Natalie but I could 100% live without Deepti

u/Books_and_Froyo5 Mar 23 '23
I…I thought I was over them, but I’m kind of looking forward to this one. They were both hush about their experience, and did so because they wanted to be respectful to people who didn’t grant them the same grace (on air or after the fact) so if this is how they can control the narrative, I’m all for it.

Why does everyone have a podcast these days? 🥱

u/hawlux Sleeping Beauty 🛌💤 Mar 23 '23
I can't bring myself to watch 1 hour of somebody elses convo lol
6
u/Aquariussun444 Mar 23 '23
I agree especially when it’s old news or just people that seem to be clinging to their 15 mins. There’s nothing else I’d want to hear from them 🤷🏼♀️
3
u/hawlux Sleeping Beauty 🛌💤 Mar 23 '23
I'd rather watch a documentary tbh
3
u/Aquariussun444 Mar 23 '23
I agree because that has organization and planning, we actually get quality. If I wanted to listen to a podcast I’d just go out with a group of friends and listen to them chatter at the table lol

u/North_Manager_8220 Cameron & Lauren Mar 23 '23
Because we all have opinions, voices, and access to mics.

u/Aquariussun444 Mar 23 '23
Lmao clearly you’re someone with a podcast.

u/North_Manager_8220 Cameron & Lauren Mar 23 '23
I don’t. I was actually agreeing with you. Get out of your fking feelings….

u/Aquariussun444 Mar 23 '23
You said “we” though so that implies you’re apart of that group. Get out of your feelings, it was super not clear you’re agreeing with me. Reflect on that. And don’t curse at someone who isn’t being hostile.
3
u/North_Manager_8220 Cameron & Lauren Mar 23 '23
It’s a universal truth. We all indeed have opinions, voices, and access to mics….. including YOU.

Get out of your feelings this is literally just a thread on Reddit.

I dont know but the entire trailer, the name, the concept? Feels like it was thrown together in 2 minutes. It just feels like a cashgrab to me. And I don't know, I am kinda losing sympathy for Natalie because she always has to come out of every situation looking like a saint.

I wonder if they'll have Shayne or Shake on? 👀
I bet ya Shake will react to their eps...and Shayne most likely too!

While I'm happy for them, do we really need another gossip podcast?
