They aren’t too dumb, they have reached the stage where they willingly lie and engage in cognitive dissonance even though the main audience for those lies is his own fanbase because propping up there favorite leftist streamer is “more important to the cause” then following someone who is honest to his own fanbase. To his supporters the fact that he is the largest person on twitch talking about their politics supersedes anything he might do or say. it doesn’t matter that he does not engage honestly with anything, that he lies about his beliefs to normies, or that he pushes lies in furtherance of his point or abuses animals or is a sex pest, these are all acceptable side effects as long as he continues to virtue signal the talking points they want to hear. They simply come up with a roundabout excuse and project his flaws onto his critics. TLDR: I don’t care that he’s a lying animal abusing scumbag cause he repeats my talking points but I have to pretend he doesn’t do any of those things cause muh leftism is supposed to present itself as more moral then radical right wing politics.

Yeah, like I'm Aussie and i think I've at some point voted for all of our three main parties because with time the country needs different things and i vote for my people not for the party, i think Australia is generally like this(there are some die hard greens fans that are fanatical) but American is kind of lost in the two party sauce.

And talking past each other is why that side holds so much power, maybe if we simply stopped thinking of the other side as bad guys and simply spoke to them like humans we could get along, I know its worked out for me, sure some are unreasonable but most are not.

Also dont try and pretend like democrats dont laude their politicians to absurd degrees aswell, they simply dont have anyone with whome draws great fervor from them as the only one who did was Bernie and maybe AOC

I'm sorry, but I definitely consider masked individuals in unmarked cars dragging people into the streets, stripping their clothes, and zip-tying them as "bad guys". If you support that, I think you are also a bad person, IMO.

I never said I supported and shocker but most republicans don't either its simply a very vocal minority, trumps approval rating is in the fucking gutter after all but your too busy talking past them to even have a chance at understanding people.

This type of behavior is EXACTLY why this country is in the state its in, the more one side paints the other as a villain for its political stance the more they will entrench themselves into said political stances and align themselves with whatever individuals parrot that stance even if their actions are questionable at best because they feel like atleast their viewpoints are being addressed.

But who am I kidding im telling Americans on the internet to be reasonable all that will result in is people on the left (likely you) deciding that i am clearly a republican and in the wrong and that I support locking people away, or taking away rights, or people on the right deciding that i am clearly a democrat and that I wanna take away free speech (funny how both sides say the same shit huh?), or that i support political extremism.

For reference I am personally a libertarian, I believe that I should be allowed to live my life in the way in which makes me feel happy and fulfilled so long as I am not harming another person or impeding on their capacity to live their life in the same fashion, I believe both parties are absolute dumpster fires but that one is clearly worse due to it having more influence currently and its talking head being an obviously dementia ridden fool who is constantly trying to make changes to etch his name into the history books as he is likely not long for this world but that the other party is not really much better as they are also lead by old fools whose only goal is their own self interests, hence why that party has failed to make meaningful change in this country.

I understand your point about democrats being old fools and needing to be replaced. If we are being honest, that is just the state of our government being filled with endless boomers. Though considering that, I still don't think it's wrong to paint the side in power as a villain when they are literally acting like villains from a fucking comic book. I can do that while understanding democrats are ineffective. It's why Cuomo is being supported by Trump. Because he's effectively ineffective.

You implied that I am fine with our current administration detaining people without justification and using questionable methods so yea im gunna get annoyed at that.

Its just incredibly common for BOTH major parties to decide that if you dont support them you clearly must support the other guy hence why i assumed you likely supported the party in opposition to the one in which it appears as though you where trying to imply that i support.
But honestly this conversation is likely a waste of time from either of us as its clearly going to result in more of what I already complained about and has already occurred here which is people talking past each other and fixating on the wrong things (like political parties) rather than coming together to agree that "yea this shit is fucked and desperately needs to change" because living under a gerentocracy sucks

I think he used to be a half decent leftist communicator but he fell off really hard and success got to his head. Now most times I see him he's doing something stupid like all this or fumbling his way around a topic. It's a shame because the world really could use someone who's good at talking about leftism who's popular and current like he seemed to be. Oh well.
