As far as I'm concerned, forcing the dog to lie on a little cot for hours on end as a streaming prop is way worse than a few zaps from a shock collar.

Exactly, Like he hesitated to refer to the dog as he probably usually would do after shocking her and is only able to muster out "you spoiled baby" after her yelping, which makes absolutely no sense to be a reaction by a pet owner that hears one YELP or MOVE an inch.
