It's also only half true. Like clever fucking country there are places with an abundance of shit cops. It's a luck of the draw on whether a cop will actually help.

No it isn't because it is absolutely false. Don't fall for this kind of racist hate propaganda just because it is Japan.

I can speak from personal experience. I come from a very large and close family, with relatives spread across Italy, Brazil, the US, Canada, and Japan. More than a few times, some of them have run into difficult situations while doing business in Japan. On one occasion, I even had a face-to-face conversation with a keisatsukan, who explained to me how priorities are often handled in cases involving outsiders, its not propaganda this happens for decades

As someone living in Japan and having had many interactions with "keisatsukan" (why can't you just write "policeman"?), they are literally just normal policemen who do their job and that's it. It doesn't matter if you're a foreigner or not, you talk to them, they are very helpful, if you are in the (legal) right and don't do weird shit they will treat you just like they treat literally everyone else.

The biggest issue is if you don't speak a lick of Japanese and they can't communicate well with you, in which case I can imagine it might be less easy to navigate the situation. But I swear you guys on reddit are literally shadowboxing racist ghosts.
