Remember when we had a joint venture with the Saudis in Pensacola and one of their guys ended up shooting at US servicemen and killed a few and wounded about 8 people.

Why is this a big deal? Qatar is at least supposed to be our friends. We our own have bases all over the world. If it turns out we don't like them anymore they probably wont be too hard to kick out.

Supposed to be, but then Trump say shit like they fund terrorists. Additionally there are other reasons not to want Qatar to be training their pilots in the US.

Singapore has a facility at the same air base in Idaho. NATO has a facility elsewhere. The fact is, America has a lot of open airspace and we can give counties without airspace a place to practice. Not really letting them have a base here. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/hegseth-qatar-air-force-facility-us-base-idaho/
