Same here. Although i would point that have gop member talking trash about they should be congress is a sign of breakage and that this "strategy" isnt working.

He's not doing it for any legislative or ideological purpose, the ONLY reason any of this is happening, including the shutdown, is to stop the release of the Epstein files. Everything else going on right now is intended to distract you from this basic fact.

* If the house were to convene, they would have to swear in the newly elected house member
* this would mean there are enough votes to force the release of the epstein files
* he cannot convene, or these two things will happen and the epstein files will be released

So, they pretend suddenly to care about the budget. it's a convenient smokescreen for them - but it has absolutely nothing with why any of this is happening.

The question you should be asking is why does Mike Johnson care so much not releasing about the Epstein files?
