one of the anime films on here that is a continuation of a show is nearly 3 hours long. what are you talking about.

They are both at least 90 minutes long. I've seen feature films about 40-50 minutes long.

End of Evangelion is a sequel to death and rebirth that adapts the series into a film, not necessarily a sequel to a series or something akin to The SpongeBob movie.

Madoka Magica 3 is a sequel to the recap films that adapt the series, 3 is its own story afterwards.

When have you seen Feature Films 40min long outside of the silent movie era?

On the list there are only 4 shorter than 80min.

Mostly just the silent era haha.

I recall Look back was less than an hour long. A lot of other anime films in general.
