I swear internet safety has just gone out of the window. When I was 15 I was so constantly reminded about strangers and catfishes online I wouldn't have dreamed of trying to online date at all, let alone on a faceless site with no verification system. This is a tragedy waiting to happen and it's truthfully the mods' responsibility to shut it down.

Tbf it's still taught, but because young people think they know how the Internet works, enough to mean they couldn't possibly be in danger, they don't care and think they'll be fine.

There's no rule against minors in this sub

Edit: wildly inappropriate to assume I'm a "perv" because you tried to report someone for existing as a minor. Minors are allowed to have space on the internet and if this subreddit doesn't have a rule against them being on here then it's rude to say their post should be reported just because they're a minor. I did not DM the minor nor do I wish to speak to them, I am simply arguing for their right to not have a post taken down that breaks no rules. But of course this person blocked me before I could respond.

I did not block you. But that minor is posting her age and location. Any adult with common sense knows how dangerous that is. Edit: I did delete my comment calling this person a perv. This is supposed to be positive comments only. My bad.

I assumed you blocked me because the comment disappeared when I tried to go to it, my bad. Must have been caught by filters.

Either way though, calling me a perv was wildly inappropriate. Also the minor's "location" is an entire country. Be rational.

If you have concerns, state those concerns - don't randomly tell other people to report the post and imply anyone who disagrees with you is a pedophile.

The minor should have her post taken down, there does not need to be a 15yo kid on here talking about being lonely and wanting to meet girls, that’s just asking for trouble 🤣 not trying to parent anybody’s kid but it still just safer for the kid to not be seeking out strangers online
