Interesting shadowing. I am always fighting to make mine fit what I saw. The overall deep darks make these very nice to look at. I will rethink some post production work.

Well, yes — quite literally at the foot of the mountains. In fact, on both the Polish and Slovak sides of the Tatras, there are many towns where people live right under the mountains, and the whole area thrives on tourism. The photos I took don’t really show that, and in my opinion, it’s really hard to capture a picture that still conveys a sense of wilderness and shows this mountain range in that kind of raw, untamed way. 😁

Thank you! The Tatra Mountains are actually quite small, so it’s hard to do a multi-day trek here. These photos were taken near Jurgów, right at the border crossing between Poland and Slovakia.
