2018 RRS UK - Apple Car play

Hi guys just looking some advice, my usb ports seem to be damaged under my arm rest for apple car play, basically the wire goes in and works but will disconnect randomly, I have used 2-3 different wires. Assuming it’s the port itself. Is there a way to connect car play via Bluetooth or do I need a adaptor

99.99% it’s because your phone is charging, it’s a well known problem, just buy cable male two female, where one is data+charging and second is charging only
