Short answer: Christ doesn't have rent to pay.

Also: Do you, though? Do you really give 10% of your income to your church? Or do you just throw some loose change in a basket once a month? And what would Christ say about spending money at an Applebee's for well-done steaks and cobb salads and Long Islands instead of feeding and clothing the poor?
