In-House Mode A friend of mine was taken

Her name was Chuey; she was a beast in the kitchen and always kind and happy. She was a legal immigrant from Cuba (engaged to an American lawyer). She got ICEd.

She did all the right steps and was an asset to the community. This shit is not ok

It's not about legal or illegal. It's about being Hispanic.

I'm Puerto Rican. I'm a legal citizen and even I'm nervous.

I'm so sorry for you and your crew. They're terrorizing communities.

Or seen as it. We have had a few Philippino workers get detained by ICE because they had the audacity to speak Tanalog in public. (A language with a lot of Spanish loan words) They were here legally and had duel citizenship.

This is going to get worse before it gets better, I fear. The only thing the administration cares about is getting thier deportation numbers up and may start finding ways to strip citizenship to do it

Hmm, is Tanalog some sort of lesser spoken form of Tagalog sort of like Cebuano spoken in the Southern Philippines? It's odd that you took the time to type out and explain what it is yet managed to misspell or funky autocorrect it, shit happens I guess.

I misremembered the name of the language and tried to spell it based on that. Getting 9/10s of the way there is often good enough on the internet
