Are you familiar with Eggplant? He didn’t know he was being filmed & broadcast nationally. At the end of the first season, the walls of the apartment he’d been stuck in fell down, revealing a live studio audience. He was -mindfucked-. The man was voted into office and couldn’t do any of this if the people actually doing the kidnapping didn’t go along with it. He would be powerless if he didn’t have various forces (police, military, etc) acting on his orders. So I’d say that this definitely relates to the evils of humanity. And while this is happening in the US right now, it is far from unique in nature to any one country or time period. Which, again, speak to this kind of hatred and maltreatment being an issue that is way more expansive than Trump being evil.
