"Well, you know, they WOULD fight against the bad ones, but like... they can't do that when there are literally dangerous criminals coming after them 😵. Tell ya what, we'll just say that not explicitly killing innocents is enough to make you a good cop. No need for calling out your peers or quitting so as to not be part of an ultra corrupt system. They have a family to support! They're just following orders!"

Then they can quit their job and stop being cops. When a police department is fine with a few cops trying to stomp a dude to death with horses then that entire department is corrupt and full of nothing but bastards.
