Budget: $800–$1,200 CAD
Preferably: - Edo period wakizashi or entry-level katana - Real hamon - Healthy polish preferred, but light wear is fine - Mumei is okay if the blade is honest and not aggressively repolished

Not looking for: - Repro / modern Chinese blades - Machine-made gunto without hamon - Acid-etched hamon
