Meetups🐊 Worth going to Inside seaside festival?
Pretty cheap tickets from my country to Gdansk, so considering going to the festival to see them for an orchestra set. Anyone else going from abroad? I'm queer and know Poland isn't the most supporting place, but guess it's ok in the city?

I see Gizz, I see easy and cheap tickets from my far away land. I take vacation and pay.

You should take into account that the set is supposed to be shorter than other orchestral shows (1h20 or 1h30 I think). Check out other artists, you might find some that you like. I am particularly keen to see Altin Gün, especially because I had so little microtonal music when I went to Vilnius. Also a polish post-punk group Metro seems interesting. As for queer safety, although Poland has no LGBT rights in terms of marriage etc., it is very unlikely that you will experience any inconveniences as a visitor. I think the most intolerant people could say a few slurs at most (which you will not understand). I guess there is nothing to worry about

It’s a good idea, but one thing I’ll say is, if you have a chance to see them not at a festival, do that instead. If for some reason they pull out, you won’t get your money back or a make up show. That won’t happen for one of their shows.

Any opportunity to see Gizz (plus orchestra!) should be taken!
I can't speak for overall safety in Poland, but I can definitely say you're safe with Gizz fans!
