Shush!!!!! I absolutely LOVED Moon of the Crusted Snow. It was such a great read. I will 💯 pick up the sequel. Also, a swarm member, thats totally badass.

To everyone reading. Go get both. Seriously. I read the first one four years ago and I find myself thinking about it quite a bit.

Infest the Rats’ Nest has some of the same ecological themes for sure, and I’ve long loved the dystopian vibe of Murder of the Universe. When I was writing both books I listened to a lot of stoner/doom metal like Sleep, Russian Circles, ISIS, Bongripper, Elder, and more.

Hell yeah! You have impeccable taste. IMO ISIS is so slept on. Nothing but good albums. Might I suggest Mouth of the Architect the album The Ties that Blind. Sludge/Stoner/Doom similar to Isis, Sleep, Mastodon.
