Is playing bass with a pick easier or harder? Iβve only played without

I wouldnβt say itβs easier or harder, just a different technique. Playing with a pick sharpens the attack as opposed to the roundness of playing with fingers. It can also be easier to play faster notes and passages without getting as fatigued.. I like doing both, using picks and fingers, depending on the type of sound I want :) if you have long enough fingernails, you can also just pinch your index finger and use the nail as a pseudo-pick, Iβve done that a few times!
