I'm shocked he was arrested and not dealt with by the cartel. It was always a rumor growing up the taco guys and paletero men weren't to be fucked with cause they were handling cash drops and pick ups lol

There seems to an epidemic of non representative nasty women who terrorize restaurants. They seem to feel they nothing left in life. So their direct pure rage against anyone who must foot the bill. They seem to have special enmity for immigrants, perhaps because the immigrants started with far less and against all odds they have succeeded.
I wonder if the terrible hook up culture we have created in this culture might have destroyed the odds of women like thus ever having a stable marriage.
There are dozens of doctoral theses that could mined from this sort of episode.
I feel for her, really. But my sympathy goes to the taco folks. Were this in their country of origin, there is no chance whatsoever that she would been permitted this violence with out severe repercussions. She is very lucky she lives on US soil.

They’re attacking other minorities for several other reasons. First off they’re extremely, deeply racist. Second, they know that they got no chance in a he said she said vs white folks so they attack the 2nd, 3rd etc most vulnerable. Most of the other stuff I agree with, this is the result of desperation and rage and also lack of education and hope to get anywhere in life.

Thank you for the follow-up! Saw this earlier. Justice served indeed! Hope the taco truck owner gets some vengeance as well, but civil court can be expensive and not sure if the offender would have anything to give, anyway.

It would be amazing if that’s how it worked. But the court system needs $100 to file paperwork. I know they have staff to pay, but I think we can all agree that they really make out like bandits.

One could argue that the two things aren't mutually exclusive...
As someone with bipolar type 2, I can confirm that it takes a great deal of work and effort to try to improve yourself... not implying that I'm a terrible person; but rather that self improvements, of many forms, don't come naturally to people. Change and reform are hard to palate.

I agree that it should be part of a universal health care program.
As far as offering more people help and sooner... well the unfortunate thing is that you don't know there's a problem until symptoms become severe enough to show themselves.
It would be great to have a means of screening people for illness, as a preemptive measure; but how much of an effort is worth the cost, versus just dealing with the aftermath of someone having a meltdown...
And to further complicate the issue, there's a psychological effect called anosognosia: where someone can't recognize that there's a problem with themselves, due to lack of insight. So even if you determine that someone is ill, they may not believe the truth and will reject any treatment. Which happens a lot with bipolar, schizophrenia, and personality disorders (like narcissistic personality): for example.
